The Church, like all European Churches, serves as a place for mass and charity. Runned by Sister Yumina, the Church also serves as the local orphanage for war orphans. Although the architecture is similar to European Christian Churches, the people observe and practice Shinto functions such as Obon and acknowledging the existence of multiple gods. In addition, the Church also serves as the unofficial town hospital.
Because communications between religious organization is slow, each Church is autonomous and must depend on the local people for donations to continue its work such as caring for orphans and treating the sick and injured. In Seize, it is more than likely the townspeople donate food, clothing, and other supplies to the Church rather than money. The Church still remains standing and is still home to orphans.
